Conservatives; would you go to a gay friends/family wedding?

I am a con and Christian. I did attend the reception for a lesbian's wedding. I have no problem with terms like "unity" or maybe "union" but it is the redefining of the word marriage. It is not the same, so why act like it is. I respect all people, but I expect them to respect me as well. I think ALL couples should have the same rights. But to the majority, marriage is a religious term as well, why ignore their feelings? Why not the term "union " be used, and all this bickering would stop
